FIX: Care and Repair
In April 2024, the exhibition halls of the Museum of Finnish Architecture and Design Museum will be taken over by the themes of renovation, maintenance and cleaning. The exhibition FIX: Care and Repair brings together architecture, design, and contemporary art. The exhibition focuses on the repair of objects and buildings, the maintenance of the environment, cleaning, and the aesthetics of dirt and wear. The exhibition presents museums as places of care, where collection management and conservation preserve carefully selected objects.
FIX: Care and Repair will be open at the Museum of Finnish Architecture and Design Museum from April 26 to December 31, 2024. The exhibition is curated by a working group from the Museum of Finnish Architecture and Design Museum.
Helsinki Day
On Helsinki Day, June 12, 2024, admission free events will take over the streets and neighbourhoods of Helsinki. Helsinki Day has been celebrated since 1959 as a collective urban festival, offering a wealth of programmes and activities for all city residents.
