In autumn 2023, the Architecture Museum’s and Design Museum’s Culture Kids workshops will be held at the A&DO Lab containers located in Vuotalo’s yard. Vuotalo’s address is Mosaiikkitori 2, Helsinki.
Arrival with public transport
The workshops take place at the A&DO Lab containers outside Vuotalo. Vuotalo’s address is Mosaiikkitori 2, Helsinki.
Vuotalo is located in the immediate vicinity of the Vuosaari metro station, next to the Columbus Shopping Centre. In addition to the metro, you can reach Vuotalo by bus, bus routes 90, 90N, 96, 96N, 818, 560, 813, 814, 815, 816, 817 & 819. The route planner will help you in finding the easiest way to get to Vuotalo.
Arriving at the Vuotalo by car
Vuotalo has a parking garage that is open from 05 to 24 hrs. You can take a lift straight into Vuotalo from the parking garage, from where you have access to the workshop facility, located in its front yard. Parking garage address: Tyynylaavantie 7 A.
Driving instructions: When driving from Itäkeskus to the direction of Vuosaari, Meripellontie street turns into Vuotie street after the Vuosaari Bridge. Two kilometres after the bridge, you will pass underneath the Columbus Shopping Centre. Approximately 200 metres later, take a left turn to Porslahdentie street and then again left on Tyynylaavantie street. After you have driven through the tunnel underneath the shopping centre again, you will see a sign “Mosaiikkitorin pysäköinti” on your right-hand side. The parking garage has two floors with direct access to Vuotalo from both.
Childcare
The services of Vuotalo, located next door, are avalaible for us on the date of the event.
Prams are left at the A&DO Lab container, weather permitting. In case it rains, we can leave the prams in the Vuotalo lobby. There are two pram locks available for loan, and a security guard at the information point at the lobby.
If you prefer a baby carrier, it is a good idea to bring your own. There are four baby carriers available for loan.

Vuotalo is located next door and has toilets and an accessible toilet that is also a baby changing facility, available free of charge. The spacious lobby also has seating that can be used before and after the workshop for feeding your baby as well as during the event, if necessary.
A microwave oven is also available for use.
Accessibility
The workshop takes place in the form of an exhibition located in two freight containers outdoors, and the covered space between them. Vuotalo is accessible. The outdoors and indoors spaces are accessible and the walkways are even.
Vuotalo accessibility
-The thresholds of the Vuotalo main entrance are over 2 cm high. The doors open automatically by pushing the opening button.
-An accessible parking space can be found in the Vuotalo parking garage, and you can reach the Vuotalo lobby and second floor directly from the parking garage by lift.
-An accessible toilet that is also a baby changing facility is located on the first floor of Vuotalo.
