The exhibition showcasing the lifeâs work of textile art pioneer Maija Lavonen highlights the artistâs innovative thinking and sources of inspiration. In this one-of-a-kind exhibition, visitors will see Maija Lavonenâs artist archive, which was added to the Design Museumâs collections in 2023.

Marie-JosĂ© Van Hee â From Sun and Wind to Paint on
At the Architecture & Design Museum (Building A, Kasarmikatu 24)
The exhibition of internationally awarded Belgian architect Marie-José Van Hee invites visitors to explore her architectural thinking and a private home designed by her, with the living spaces presented in their original scale. Van Hee was awarded the Alvar Aalto Medal in August 2024.

Booking conditions
Please book the service well in advance, at least two weeks before your preferred date. Reservations can be cancelled at the latest three days (72 hours) before the agreed date. A full charge will be applied for uncancelled or late cancellations. It is possible to reschedule the booked service no later than three days (72 hours) before the confirmed date.
