Book a workshop for your teaching group to our current exhibitions. Workshops are available both on-site at the museum and online. Our workshops are suitable for daycares, preschools, primary and secondary schools, high schools, and vocational schools. The group will be accommodated according to their age level. Please indicate your preferences and needs in the additional information section when making a reservation.
The museum is a diverse learning environment, and the curriculums encourage the utilization of the opportunities such an environment offers. Architecture and design are suitable for many subjects and for phenomenon-based learning crossing the boundaries of early childhood education and basic education.
We conduct workshops for teaching groups in Finnish, Swedish, English, and Russian. The maximum size for a workshop group is 25 persons. However, teaching groups with instructors can still participate as a single group, even if the group size is exceeded by a few participants.

Explore and Play in the Cleaning Closet Room
What can be found in the cleaning closet? A vast array of cleaning tools of different colours, shapes, sizes, scents, and textures are meticulously arranged in their designated spots. What other uses could cleaning tools have besides cleaning?
At the beginning of the workshop, the participants will explore the FIX: Care and Repair exhibition displayed at the Museum of Finnish Architecture with the workshop facilitator, engaging in discussions and fun physical exercises. After a brief introduction, the participants will create compositions using various cleaning tools. At the end of the workshop, all the participants will have the opportunity to present their compositions. Teachers or instructors can communicate the group’s needs and preferences during the reservation inquiry.
Additional Information and Considerations
You can photograph the compositions during the workshop, and feel free to bring a camera or your own mobile devices. The photographs can be utilized as part of teaching even after the workshop.
The workshop involves cleaning tools made from different materials, which may cause allergic reactions.
