25th Janyary at 1 pm
In the Design Museum´s Lunch Talk we get to hear about the new exhibition BRON staright from the contemporary jewellery designer Ruudt Peters himself. Ruudt Peters will be introduced by his friend and colleague jewelry artist and teacher Eija Mustonen from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences in Imatra.
Ruudt Peters (born 1950) of the Netherlands is a trailblazer of contemporary jewellery design. In his jewellery, which has been described as rebellious, he has tested the boundaries of design in this area in both materials and use. BRON is a retrospective exhibition with multimedia presenting an overview of Peters’ career of 44 years and the conceptual jewellery collections that he has created during it. The title of the exhibition refers to a source, to origins. The exhibition illustrates Peters’ sources of inspiration in design: cultures, religions, traditions, gender, corporeality and alchemy.
