Recollections and memories of fashion in Finland will be collected in connection with the Anthology of Finnish Fashion exhibition.
What Finnish clothes did you wear when you were young? What garments did you love, or still do? What does Finnish fashion mean to you? Your recollections can be from the present day, or from decades ago. Tell us about them with pictures or words. All memories are equally important.
Send your recollections by email to liisa@liisajokinen.com. Please include your name and contact information, and specify if you do not want to have your name published.
All pictures are acceptable – you can even take a picture of an old album photo with a mobile phone. If you wish, you can send several pictures and include text.
You can tell, for example, what the picture shows and when it was taken. Who made the clothing shown in the picture and where was it bought. Tell us about particular memories attached to clothing or costumes.
The sender of the picture will be responsible for having due permission from the photographer and the people in the photographs to publish the picture. Please note that permission from a guardian is required for publishing photographs of under-aged persons.
The participants give Design Museum and Liisa Jokinen permission, if necessary, to process images and to edit submitted text materials.
Design Museum and Liisa Jokinen reserve the right to use submitted material in a blog related to the Anthology of Finnish Fashion exhibition, social media, exhibition marketing, and related publications, which may appear after the exhibition has closed.
Participants agree to the possible inclusion of the image and related information in Design Museum’s collections and to the museum having rights of use to the image.
