Tickets

At the Design Museum and the Museum of Finnish Architecture, there is a joint main exhibition called ‘FIX: Care and Repair’. In addition, both museums have their familiar collection exhibitions on display. All ticket types include access to both museums on the same day.

The ticket sale ends 15 minutes before the museum closes.

* Free-of-charge entry also available for: preparatory teachers (with a valid group reservation), school classes with a teacher, students in relevant studies by prior arrangement, Friends of Design Museum and the Museum of Finnish Architecture, personal assistants, cultural companions, special groups and rehabilitative groups (information on groups visits must be provided in advance), Finnish veterans, museum employees with staff card, ICOM, ICOMOS, or ICAM card, press card, asylum seekers.

We welcome special groups to enjoy a quiet, peaceful, and admission free museum visit every last Tuesday morning of the month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Read more about the Quiet Tuesday Mornings here. 

Payment methods

We accept cash, online payments, debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). We also accept as admission payment the following vouchers: Edenred, Epassi and Smartum. You can also pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Please note that studded shoes are not allowed in the Design Museum premises. If you arrive in studded shoes, please ask the ticket office for shoe covers.

Accessibility

Entrance for wheelchairs and prams from Ullanlinnankatu street (Ullanlinnankatu 4). Design Museum has an obstacle-free lift, and a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the basement level (floor K).

Guided tours

GUIDED TOURS FOR VISITORS

In Finnish: Tuesdays at the Design Museum at 5 pm and the Museum of Finnish Architecture at 6 pm (except on Free Admission Tuesdays when the audience tour is conducted in Plain Finnish, with Finnish Sign Language interpretation, or with Finnish audio description), and on Saturdays at the Museum of Finnish Architecture at 1 pm and the Design Museum at 2 pm.

In English: On Saturdays at the Museum of Finnish Architecture at 2 pm and the Design Museum at 3 pm (except on Saturdays when audience tours are conducted in Swedish or Russian), and on Free Admission Tuesdays at the Design Museum at 7 pm.

GUIDED ONLINE TOURS

If you can’t visit the FIX: Care and Repair exhibition in Helsinki for any reason, you can participate in the exhibition through our online guided tours! Online tours will be broadcast live on the Design Museum’s and Museum of Finnish Architecture’s Facebook accounts on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
